Private Lessons are available daily in Pasadena at Doug's Private Lesson Studio.

The length of a private lesson is 55 minutes
Private lessons are also available occasionally in North Hollywood, West LA, and Irvine. Studio fees may apply.
Rates, Special Deals, and Discounts!
These are good at Doug’s home studio. Only one discount or coupon may apply at any time.
Regular Hours (in studio):
(Monday - Thursday from 9 AM - 9 PM, Friday - Sunday 10 AM - 8 PM)
- $80 per session for 1 person
- $75 per session for 2 people (one leader and one follower)
- Purchase 5 sessions as a leader or follower: $375 and get a free DS instructional video
- Purchase 10 sessions as a leader or follower: $700 and get a free DS instructional video
- Purchase 5 sessions as a lead/follow couple: $350 and get a free DS instructional video
- Purchase 10 sessions as a lead/follow couple: $675 and get two free DS instructional videos
House Calls:
House calls will be at a charge of $200 / session for an individual or a couple, provided that the distance is less than 20 miles from Doug’s home studio and not during heavy traffic.
Convention Rates (at events and conventions):
- $90 per session for an individual, $80 for a couple
- $65 (junior couple rate - under 18 years old)
- Please note: additional fees may be added by conventions for floor space if applicable.
Industry Training:
Private lessons and coaching for industry work (TV, movies, theatre) have an additional $25 added to the lesson rate.
Cancellation & Refund notice:
in order to cancel a private lesson, 48 hours notice must be given by phone or text (310.508.6419) or e-mail (swing@dougsilton.com). Without 48-hours notice, the student will be billed the entire fee for the hour. No refunds will be given for purchased lessons. Cancellation within 24 hours of a lesson results in a 1/2 charge for the missed lesson.
Studio fee:
in the event that the private lesson takes place outside of my studio, a nominal studio fee may apply
Discounts notice:
All discounts apply only to full-priced private lessons between noon – 9:00 PM. No more than one discount may apply at a time, including referral fees.
Expiration Dates:
Any bulk purchase of private lessons expire 12 months from the date of purchase. If no privates are taken within 6 consecutive months, the lessons will expire.
Transferability:
Private lessons are non-transferable.
Video Taping:
If you bring your own camera, there is no charge to film a recap at the end of the lesson as a review.
